Seddon Past Player – Don Wilson Passes Away

Don Wilson – RIP passed on Jan 15th 2011 as a result of a brain tumor at the age of 60.

Don was named in the Seddon Team of the 80’s, he played sub district level with Yarraville and took over 500 wickets. He also played district firsts level for Footscray.

The Seddon Cricket club passes on its condolences to Don’s family and friends on his passing away.

Don’s funeral was held in Sale last Thursday 20th January.

There is however a Memorial Service being held this Saturday 29th January at the Essendon Baptist Community Church ( 124-138 Buckley St Essendon ) commencing at 1.30 pm

Don played 4 seasons for Footscray winning the club champion award in 1974/5.

Don then coached Werribee for 2 seasons before going to Yarraville.

Don then came to Seddon as a player before becoming coach.

And as we know Don was named in the team of the 80’s .
